Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
This federal program provides assistance with winter heating bills to low-income residents of Clackamas County. LIHEAP opens on October 1 for priority groups (over 60 or disabled) and opens to the general public on December 1 as funding allows. Income guidelines have yet to be released; however, 2011/2012 guidelines were 1757.00 per month for a single individual or 2,298.00 per month for a couple. These guidelines are expected to change in 2012-13. Please call the Energy Assistance Line for further information at 503-650-5640. If your heat has been shut off or if you are facing shutoff, please call the Energy Assistance Line and leave a message describing your circumstances.
