Brown-Vose House, Circa 1885
Location: 791 Fourth Street
This house is significant because it is one of the best examples of the vernacular style. In addition, it is important for its contribution to the historic character of the First Addition neighborhood. In 1920, Irma Vose purchased the house. The Vose family was well known in Lake Oswego for their involvement in local education. Other Vose family members were involved in early boy scout troops and other community groups.
