LU 14-0018: CDC Amendments - Nonconforming Structures & Uses, and Adjustments, Alternatives & Variances

A request by the City of Lake Oswego for legislative amendments to sections in the Community Development Code (CDC) pertaining to Nonconforming Structures, and Adjustments, Alternatives and Variances intended to update, streamline and simplify these code sections so they are easier to understand and administer.

At its meeting on 04/07/15, the City Council finalized its decision on the proposed amendments and adopted Ordinance 2644 (including the Findings, Conclusions and Order).  A link to the Ordinance can be found below under "Key Documents" on this page.

03/18/15
At its meeting on 03/17/15, the City Council moved to continue to April 7, 2015, consideration of adoption of Ordinance 2644 (LU 14-0018).

03/11/15
At its meeting on 03/03/15, the City Council tentatively approved LU 14-0019 and directed staff to return with findings, conclusions and a final version of Ordinance 2644 for adoption on March 17, 2015.

02/11/15
The City Council study session has been rescheduled for 02/17/15 and the hearing has been rescheduled for 03/03/15.

The City Council study session originally scheduled for 11/04/14 has been rescheduled to 02/03/15.  The public hearing is tentatively scheduled for 02/17/15.

At its meeting 09/08/14, the Planning Commission approved the Findings, Conclusions and Order (the final recommendation).  A copy is available to view below, under "Key Documents."

08/27/14
At its meeting on 08/25/14, the Planning Commission completed their deliberations and made a preliminary recommendation that the City Council approve the proposed amendments with changes as discussed during deliberations.  The Findings, Conclusions and Order (the final recommendation) will be considered on 09/08/14.

07/29/14
At its meeting on 07/28/14, the Planning Commission opened the public hearing, received a presentation from staff and accepted public testimony.  The Planning Commission continued the hearing to 08/25/14, for deliberation.  The public testimony portion of the hearing has been closed.
