CERT (for registered students only)

Tuesday, April 15, 2014 - 6:30pm to 9:30pm

The next Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training hosted by Lake Oswego Fire Department is scheduled to begin Tuesday, April 15.  CERT Training consists of seven evening sessions followed by a Saturday disaster simulation.  Classes will be 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. each Tuesday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 31, at the Westlake Fire Station, 4900 Melrose Street.

In this free course, you will learn about Disaster Preparedness, Fire Suppression, Medical Operations, Search and Rescue, Disaster Psychology, Terrorism, and Team Organization. At the end of this training, you will go home and back into your neighborhood with a greater understanding of helping yourself and your family be better prepared in the event of a disaster.
