Oregon Humanities Conversation Projects
Please join us for two practice Conversation Project programs that Oregon Humanities has added to the 2018-19 Conversation Project catalog.
6:10 pm - 7:10 pm - What's the Purpose of Public Education? (Aimee Craig)
7:20 - 8:20 pm - It's a Free Country: Exploring the Limitations and Responsibilities of Freedom (Ann Su)
The Conversation Project brings Oregonians together to talk—across differences, beliefs, and backgrounds—about important issues and ideas, with the goal of connecting people to ideas and to each other, not to push an agenda or arrive at consensus. Oregon Humanities believes that conversation is a powerful medium to invite diverse perspectives, explore challenging questions, and strive for just communities.
Before Conversation Project facilitators travel across the state to lead discussions on their topic, these practice programs are intended to give facilitators a chance to conduct their program with a group of people who participate in the conversation and give them feedback.
