Boones Ferry Road Update
In December 2013, the Lake Oswego City Council gave the go-ahead for design work on the first phase of the Boones Ferry Road Improvement project. This initial phase, which is approximately one-half mile long, goes from south of Madrona Street to just north of the Oakridge/Reese intersection. This phase also includes a pedestrian signal at the Lanewood Road intersection.
The Boones Ferry project is the cornerstone project of the 2008 Lake Grove Village Center Plan. The project has been years in the making; property and business owners and residents who have devoted countless hours of their time to the development of the Plan, are pleased to see the project moving forward.
A Project Advisory Committee was formed in early 2014. The PAC will advise the Project Team on design and construction issues and ensure that the project fulfills the goals of the Lake Grove Village Center Plan. During the summer of 2014, the City has been working with ODOT on hiring a design engineering firm to develop plans and specifications to construct the project. Design work is expected to begin later this year with construction anticipated from late 2016 through 2018.
