Celebration continues until 2pm
It's time to celebrate our many freedoms and Lake Oswego does this with panache! So don your patriotic colors, decorate your wagons and enjoy an old fashioned 4th of July celebration! Join the fun or watch your friends stroll down A Avenue in the spectacular Parade, which is led by a Lake Oswego Fire Engine. The Parade features an authentic Fife & Drum Band, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, classic cars and more! When guests arrive at Millennium Plaza Park, they will be welcomed with live music, face-painting, balloon animals and a pie-eating contest. It's sure to be a truly memorable 4th of July.
Parade Staging begins at 9am at Lake Garden Court (off Iron Mtn. Blvd.). If you have a vehicle or float or are a team, club or special interest group who plan to walk together, you must complete a registration form with the Parks & Recreation Department. Pie Eating Contest Details: Back by popular demand! Celebrate the USA with Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation's Fifth Annual Pie Eating Contest. Commemorate our country's independence by racing to complete an "All-American" Pie. Contest participants must be 18 years or older to enter. Register onsite at the registration table at Millennium Plaza Park. Contest begins at 12:30pm.
