2020 Pavement Management Pavement Rehabilitation

Project Background / Summary:

Which roads is the City paving in 2020?

The list of roads that will be paved in 2020 is currently being reviewed and will be finalized later in January. The list is reviewed for conflicts with other City work and review of paving budget. The main area for pavement repair and pavement overlays in 2020 will be in First Addition-Forest Hills, the neighborhood with some of our oldest streets.

A tentative map is available below (click to expand). Additional outreach will occur in advance of work that will get started this spring and be completed in fall.

Project Updates:

Tree Trimming in January 2020

Tree trimming will occur this month in several areas of the City. The tree trimming is in advance of road paving and maintenance that will begin late spring through summer. A certified arborist will manage the work. Tree branches above and near streets will be trimmed to minimize the risk of being broken by large trucks and equipment necessary for paving roads or applying slurry seal to roads. January is also the best time to minimize impact to bird habitat.

The majority of tree trimming will be happening throughout First Addition-Forest Hills Neighborhood, Evergreen Neighborhood, along Stafford Road, and along Wembley Park Road.
