LU 17-0079 Comprehensive Plan Map and Zoning Map Amendments to Properties Located at 1061 Sunningdale Road and 501 4th Street

1061 Sunningdale Road - Stafford Park

The City is proposing to amend the Comprehensive Plan Map and Zoning Map designation from residential single-family “R-10” (10,000 sq. ft. area per unit) to Park and Natural Area (PNA).  This change will result in open space adjacent to properties with residential zoning.

501 4th Street – Post Office

The City is proposing to amend the Comprehensive Plan Map designation from General Commercial (GC) to East End Commercial District (EC).  This change will achieve consistency with the zoning designation on this property and the Comprehensive Plan Map and Zoning Map designations surrounding this property.

At its meeting on April 9, the Planning Commission adopted the Findings, Conclusion and Order (the final recommendation) for the property located at 1061 Sunningdale Road.  A link to the adopted Findings is available below under "Key Documents."

The Planning Commission considered the proposed amendments at a public hearing on March 12, 2018.

For the property located at 501 4th Street, the Commission recommended approval to the City Council and adopted the Findings, Conclusion and Order (final recommendation). 

For the property located at 1061 Sunningdale Road, the Commission made a preliminary recommendation that the Council approve the proposed amendments and directed staff to return on April 9, with the Findings, Conclusions and Order.
