LU 18-0003: Community Developments Code Amendments - Secondary Dwelling Units

A request from the City of Lake Oswego for text amendments to the Lake Oswego Community Development Code (CDC) to amend the standards for Secondary Dwelling Units (SDUs), LOC 50.03.004.1.b.vi. Amendments to LOC 50.06.002 Parking and LOC 50.07.003 Review Procedures are also proposed for consistency with the amended SDU standards.  The purpose of the amendments is to allow development of SDUs with fewer restrictions and a more efficient permit process.

At its meeting on April 23rd, the Planning Commission adopted the Findings, Conclusion and Order (the final recommendation).  A link to the adopted Findings is available below under "Key Documents."

The City Council has a study session (no public comment) scheduled for May 15.  The Council public hearing is scheduled for June 5, 2018; public testimony will be accepted.  For more information regarding the Council's agenda and schedule, please contact Anne-Marie Simpson, City Recorder, (503) 534-4225 or e-mail.

The Planning Commission considered the proposed amendments at a public hearing on April 9, 2018, and tentatively recommended City Council approval.

The Findings, Conclusions and Order (the final recommendation) will be considered on April 23, 2018.
