Join the City of Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department for A Night of Steely Dan with Chris Baum Project live at the Sounds of Summer Concerts. The concert takes place on Wednesday, August 9, from 6:30-8:30pm at Westlake Park. All concerts are free and family friendly.
Chris Baum has been a fixture in the Pacific Northwest music scene since his youth as a classical pianist—winning local, regional, and national competitions. Since then, Chris has morphed into a soulful singer/pianist, arranger and producer.
Since 1994, Chris has exercised and honed master band leading and musical arrangement skills to attract 'cream of the crop' talent to realize inherently lofty musical goals.
The Chris Baum Project's repertoire covers music from the great Soul and R&B artists of the modern era, and includes songs by Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone, Steely Dan, Average White Band, Bill Withers, Chicago, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Amy Winehouse, Etta James, Michael Jackson and many more.

Chris Baum's Project is a 12-piece Soul/R&B band; however there are over 40+ musicians that are proud to be a part of the Baum Sorority/Fraternity. Many regular attendees of the Project’s performances are not only there to take in the show as a ‘concert’, but to wear out the dance floor—a testament to the band’s ability to entertain on the merits of musical prowess, Chris' arranging chops, and most importantly, the ability of the band to stretch out and ‘play’.
