Beginning Tuesday, March 5, ODOT will close a northbound lane on Hwy 43 between Laurel and Oak Street (south of downtown Lake Oswego). Closure is expected through Friday. The sidewalk through this area also will be closed during work hours.
ODOT will be working on stabilizing the sidewalk and roadway - where the sidewalk has started to pull away from the existing retaining wall.
Their traffic control plan restricts the lane closure to the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., to help lessen the impact for commuter traffic. Flaggers will be in place to alternate traffic through the single lane during these hours and assisting pedestrian and bike traffic, expect some delays or consider using an alternative route.
The project is expected to be completed by Tuesday, March 12.
